1st trip to the ER : (

Well, we have our first (and hopefully last) trip to the ER with Noah under our belts. Not fun. He dislocated his elbow at day care. When Scott picked him up he said that his arm hurt but wasn't really making that big of a deal about it. When I got home that night, the pain seemed to get worse and he wasn't using it at all. The doctor in the ER did a great job of distracting him while popping it back into place. Noah only cried for a few seconds... he was such a trooper. He did a great job of telling the receptionist, the doctor and the nurses what happened. He told them he got hurt when he was playing rough at Auntie's. He also told them that he pushed John John and then Auntie pushed him. That wasn't exactly what happened- but close. What actually happened was that he pushed John John while trying to see a toy that John was holding and when Auntie (Karen) went to referee she tripped and fell into Noah. He didn't complain to her too much so she really didn't realize that he was hurt (She feels so bad and I feel bad that she feels so bad- it was an accident- they are going to happen). He is still sore today and isn't using it that much. I think he's afraid that it will hurt too much if he uses it.
My poor little guy... he really wasn't that sad here... he was showing us his sad face. He's such a hambone. He kept the ER staff quite entertained... they were very impressed with his conversational skills. One asked me two times how old he was because she couldn't believe how well he could speak.
What a week... so glad it's over. If Noah's arm isn't much better by tomorrow we are supposed to follow up with his pediatrician. I hate seeing him hold it to his side... it's so sad : (
